Bug Description

I am running VMware Server 1.0.3 on Slackware 12 (2.6.21.5 smp kernel). I installed Ubuntu 7.04 onto a new VMware machine without flaw. Everything, as far as I can tell, works fine (except for browsing).

I tried both NAT'ed and Bridged network connections, same results. I could ping google.com (or its resolved IP address) correctly from bash, and also wget worked correctly. When I opened up Firefox, I could surf to an intranet site (by hostname or IP address), but if I tried google.com or its resolved IP address, it would not work (took 3-5 minutes just to time out).

I temporarily resolved this by installing konqueror and it worked correctly.

Thanks, very nice product you guys put together.
