Bug Description

Evergreen 2.5+

I have not been able to get a regex to work. I have tested this on a 2.5.3 version and master (about 2.7) and the regex does not seem to work. Attached is a screen shot of my setting where I was trying to replace the word "writer" with "author" in the 505 subfield a. In the attached screen shot I did not fill in "a" for the subfield but in another attempt I did and it made no difference. I have been able to get MARC edit to add, replace or delete entire fields so this piece of functionality has been working.

This ticket can probably be closed. I successfully tested the regex with our install of 2.8.2.

For historical context, what Time described in the original report is not what the Regex is for, or how it works. It is meant to restrict matching of fields based on content in a specific subfield, not define how a rewrite will occur.

Someone has a case of the Monday's! ... that would be Tim, not Time. :)
