Bug Description

Test machine: Ubuntu 14.04 with lightdm-1.10.1-0ubuntu1 and gnome-shell-3.10.4-0ubuntu5.2 installed.

Reproducing the bug:

1. Log into an user session using a "Gnome" or "Gnome Classic" session.
2. Lock the session executing "dm-tool lock" in a terminal.
3. A new greeter is displayed.
4. Switch to the user session by switching VT (e.g. Alt+Ctrl-F7).
5. The session isn't locked as expected (by using the screensaver as usual).

Possible causes:

Unlike it happens in other sessions (e.g. Cairo-Dock), the gnome-screensaver isn't launched as a daemon at the start of the session, and therefore it isn't triggered properly by the DBUS signal org.freedesktop.login1.Lock at /org/freedesktop/login1/session/<SESSION_ID>.

However gnome-screensaver seems to be launched at some point after trying to lock the screen, because if the screen is unlocked by entering the password in the greeter, getting back into the sesssion and then executing again "dm-tool lock", then this time the screen is locked properly and switching back into the session by switching the VT shows the screensaver password prompt.
