This bug was partially solved. However in Weekview, it is still blocked:

Mihir would likely be the best to tackle this :)

I gave it a quick shot by adjusting the z property, but I could not get it over the events.

I think its nature of timeline view. How other calendar App's behave in this situation ? Whatever I seen, it behaves same way as our current implementation.

Setting opacity might introduce performance problem, it's costly drawing operation. If we have many event bubbles, then setting opacity is not good idea.

Yah the opacity can be pretty rough; What if we had it set opacity upon mouse hover? Alternatively, we could remove the time labels as they are, and place them on a foreground column on the right that can't be obstructed by events.

Instead of mouse hoverm I think long press is better as it will work on both desktop and phone.

And alterative solution to move time labels, I think it will not work properly for DayView.

"The solution would be to move the time to the left of the page as done by Google calendar in both the phone and the desktop apps."

Day view shows three view at at time, when you show time lable in middle you dont see next and previous view's time lable,
but when you will show it on left it will show two time lables, one for current view and one from next view,Unless you change view design radically, which I am not sure is desirable effect ?

I would just like to point out that people in the design reddit thread, did not like the time text being "small"

"medium" or "large" would be better in my opinion.
