Bug Description
In order to allow users to use the latest and greatest Unity8 desktop preview image, we are working on a project that allows running this in an LXC. The LXC will contain this image (which is currently based on Utopic) and can be used on Trusty, Utopic, etc. based systems.
For this to work properly a few changes are needed in LightDM so a user can log in directly to the Unity 8 session. As such, a new "mir-container" session type is needed to allow both an LXC install and a "bare metal" install to exist simultaneously on the same system.
This is already done in trunk, but this is needed for Trusty as the main focus of this project is to allow the LTS users to use the latest Unity 8 desktop without the need to Unity 8/Mir SRU's.
