Xorg driver intel has broken playing movies capability. All players crash when the movie is launched. Driver i810 working honestly but need 915 resolution hack.
System:
Ubuntu Gutsy Gibbon - current
Compiz Fusion (AIGLX) at Lenovo N100 (i945)
Lame solution:
Use the MPlayer with "gl" or "gl2" video input source.
- notice: movie is horrible blinking, listing in menu is impossible (lot of glitches), very bad behaviour
Better solution:
Use the i810 driver with 915resolution utility to get widescreen 1280x800.
