bibletime: Texts do not display properly

Texts do not display properly, here's a copy paste from WEB Gen 1:1-2

This system was installed from MATE community Beta 1.

Same symptom as above. This affects all installed works to different degrees.

I can confirm that this does affect BibleTime 2.9.2 on Kubuntu 14.10 beta 2, but DOES NOT affect Sword 1.7.3 and BibleTime 2.10.1 built from source on the same setup. Note that BibleTime 2.9.* is no longer supported by upstream.

wouldn't that be sufficient reason to update the ubuntu repositories to 2.10?

I upgraded to 2.10.1 on utopic via this ppa:
https://launchpad.net/~unit193/+archive/ubuntu/crosswire

 It threw away my settings (it warned first), but at least I can use it now.
