Bug Description

Binary package hint: gnome-panel

When I right click on the workspace switcher, and go to its preferences, i cannot see the options for setting how many workspaces should exist. It happens on Ubuntu Gutsy Tribe 5, and I cannot use more than 2 workspaces.

Thanks for your report.

This may be due to compiz (but of course, that doesn't invalidate the bug). Do you use Compiz/Desktop Effects and if so, can you disable them and see if the problem is fixed?

I disabled it, and it worked on the live-cd, however i have installed it
today using the same cd, and it goes back to the original number of
workspaces, once I put the desktop-effects back on.
