Bug Description

After booting an Ubuntu 14.04.01 CD (happened in previous versions too), choosing to "Try Ubuntu without installing", and using the system for a few minutes\hours, the system freezes (including the mouse pointer), and I have no choise but to hard-reboot it.
Happens in Ubuntu 14.04.1, Lubuntu 14.04, and other linux distributions as well.

Shoham Peller, thank you for reporting this and helping make Ubuntu better. As per http://www.gigabyte.com/products/product-page.aspx?pid=3503#bios an update to your BIOS is available (F11). If you update to this following https://help.ubuntu.com/community/BiosUpdate does it change anything? If it doesn't, could you please both specify what happened, and provide the output of the following terminal command:
sudo dmidecode -s bios-version && sudo dmidecode -s bios-release-date

Please note your current BIOS is already in the Bug Description, so posting this on the old BIOS would not be helpful. As well, you don't have to create a new bug report.

For more on BIOS updates and linux, please see https://help.ubuntu.com/community/ReportingBugs#Bug_reporting_etiquette .

Once the BIOS is updated, then please mark this report Status Confirmed.

Thank you for your understanding.

Thank you Christopher for your help. I have a full Ubuntu installation of course, but every time I show my friend how cool is Ubuntu with a liveCd on their computers, it freezes, and kills their excitement. That's why I want to help get it fixed.

I've updated my bios, but it didn't help.
What happened is same as always, I've rebooted to an Ubuntu 14.04.01 LTS CD, in the welcome screen I've chosen "Try Ubuntu", my system booted up and everything seemed to work, but after leaving my computer for a few hours, I came back to a black screen with a freezed mouse pointer, and nothing I could do except hard rebooting my computer.

The commands you asked for:
$ sudo dmidecode -s bios-version && sudo dmidecode -s bios-release-date
F11

I don't know why you've decided it has anything to do with the bios, but this happened in every computer I've ever tried Ubuntu on, including several laptops and desktops from different manufacturers. I don't believe they all had the same bios.
If you'd like, I can try and restore this behavior on other computers, so you'll see it happens on a lot of computers from different manufacturers. What information would you want from those computers?

Thank you again
