Hello,

could you explain a little bit more what kind of log you need? Do you need access logs for a specific container only (in Swift there are no buckets, but containers)? Or do you mean access logs for a container server?

Thanks,

Christian

This is currently not supported in Swift. You would need to collect the logfiles from all your proxy servers and filter them for requests to a specific container (which means it won't be possible for a client, only for operators).

Do you have access to the proxy server logs?

Yes I have access to all my proxy servers. All I want to achieve is something like Amazon S3 Bucket logging where user will be prompted with target location(self or other container) for storing its access log. Same way If I need to set some metadata to my swift container to track its access I can set it. So that, swift handles posting of those access logs into the specified container. Could you throw some light on this...

hey dude, so that *is* the feature you're looking for? Because it's not a core swift deliverable - if it didn't work you could try to file a github issue against that project?

This isn't something that is part of Swift.
