Bug Description

I use a launcher of type "place" (? not to sure about the translation in English). I can use it to launch nautilus in my home folder. When nautilus is running, a little arrow is displayed under the icon. But when I quit Nautilus, the arrow does not disappear. I have this problem only with this particular launcher. It's also the only launcher I added through the preference menu.

Version is one of the latest bzr (78 I think).

Thanks for your help and congrats for this great piece of software.

What happens when you click on the icon then? Does it launch a new nautilus.

I don't use SVN version anymore (I found a packaged version that worked better for me) but have yet some problems:
When clicking, the arrow does not appear under the icon, but a new icon (corresponding to the nautilus process) appear in the taskbar. If I click again, a new process is created. When I close Nautilus, the icon of the process disappear, but an arrow appears under the launcher.
At that time, when I click on the launcher, nothing happen. When I cycle through open windows, the launcher disappear from awn (but is still present in the list when checking the parameters). If there are multiple instances of nautilus opened, when I close the last one, the icon of the launcher appears again (with the arrow, even if there is no more nautilus process).
I tried to reproduce the problem after launching awn in a console. Here is the output (nothing special in it I think but anyway):

I'm betting that this is because there's always nautilus running on the Gnome desktop, because nautilus is used for managing the desktop (and desktop icons), in addition to being a file manager. Does the arrow go away if you run `killall nautilus` in the terminal? (Note: this will clear your desktop of any icons you may have on it - run nautilus again to get them back.)

Hello,

I'm very sorry, but I think I won't be able to test it anymore: I switched to Xubuntu for Gutsy.

I'll try with thunar and check wether this problem arise as well (if I manage to get thunar to launch instead of nautilus).

I'll keep you posted ASAP
