Bug Description

Hello friends. I have a Dell Latitude E7440 that came with Ubuntu on it. I am running 14.04.1 with all available updates as of today. I noticed if my laptop is in suspend mode and I plug in an HDMI monitor, then open the lid to resume, it freezes. The lock screen allows me to move my cursor around, but I cannot click anything, and the keyboard itself does not respond whatsoever.

If I do these steps in any sort of different order, as in resume laptop first then plug in, etc., it's fine. It's just when the system is resuming with a new HDMI source plugged in that wasn't there when it went to sleep.

Thank you for your time, dedication, and hard work!
