new instance of program opened when opening from nautilus

If I have exaile running and I open up a file, a whole new instance of the program opens for every file I have selected. This applies all the time, whether it's playing a track already or not. This bug is particuarly annoying when I open a selection of files in nautilus and all the files open in their own instance of exaile; slowing everything down. I have to right-click all the tray icons one-by-one to close them all.

I have a feeling that this is to do with what command nautilus gives exaile when it is opening the file. I reported the bug here because it feels more logical as I only get this problem with exaile.

I'm using Exaile 0.2.9 installed from Gentoo Portage

I would like to report the same problem. I am running Exaile 0.2.10, the default bundled with PCLinuxOS 2007 GNOME Remaster.

It would also be nice to be able to point to a directory in Nautilus and say "Open With Exaile..." and have it do something sensible. As Adam Olsen said, I'm not sure whether this is the right place to file this.

Does this issue still persist for others? On w/ Exaile and Nautilus from the Ubuntu 7.10 repos, when opening an mp3 with Exaile from Nautilus, the file is appended to the bottom of the play list. No new instance is started.

What you're talking about seems like a seperate feature request, but a good idea.

This happens with the latest tarball of Exaile 0.3 (10-Jun-2009).

Every audio file that is associated with Exaile adds itself to the playlist of the oldest Exaile instance when opened plus it creates a new instance with just that single file on the playlist.
