I'm setting the displays to mirror in the Displays plug.
When i reboot the screens no longer mirrors.
Hardware
The computer is connected to a 24" Benq monitor (G2420HDBL) over DVI (Computer -> DVI to HDMI adapter -> HDMI cable -> HDMI to DVI adapter -> Monitor) and a Yamaha reciever (RX-A820) over HDMI.
The reciever in turn is connected to a Samsung TV.
I'm using the onboard graphics (Intel Core i5-4670K).
Software
I'm using elementary os 0.3 Freya beta 1.
Other
When the reciever is powered on the Displays plug reports the secondary monitor as Samsung Electric Company 19" (actually 60"). When turned of the secondary monitor is (at least sometimes, couldn't make it happen right now) reported as Yamaha [...].
I've tried to set it to Mirror Display when the secondary display is reported as Samsung as well as Yamaha.
I don't have to change anything, turn anything on or of, to make the settings be forgotten, just a simple reboot.

Same here. Mirror setting doesn't persist through a reboot.
Intel 2300 - NVIDIA Ion
DVI -> AOC 1080p monitor
HDMI -> Vizio1080p tv
