*workaround*

there's some issue with the link in the /etc/alternatives system.

sudo update-alternatives --remove postmaster.1.gz /usr/share/postgresql/9.1/man/man1/postmaster.1.gz

fix (remove) the problematic one, than apt-get -f install or whatever you use to complete the install process.
