Bug Description

The Ubuntu Error Tracker has been receiving reports about a problem regarding ubuntu-system-settings. This problem was most recently seen with version 0.3+14.10.20140815-0ubuntu1, the problem page at https://errors.ubuntu.com/problem/b0dc164a922a7fb1a166567baf64f2731c6c914c contains more details.

It's platform-api calling into mir client side.

From the crash reports it looks like we are getting an OoM (i.e. "new" on the following line fails)

However, I tried to load the system with a bunch of open apps and launched the system settings app, it worked every time.
