end attribute on animatieMotion not working

I am trying to create an animateMotion with the end attribute set. The animation plays all the way through to the end, but at the time that I set end at there is a quick hickup as if the animation jumps to the end of the path then continues on as usual.

My browser is IE 11.0.9600.16518.

Below is a URL to demonstrate the issue. The animateMotion dur is set to 5s and end is 2s, however it plays all the way through the animation.
