Bug Description
Binary package hint: pidgin
Not sure if this is worth filing a bug about, but here goes.
Debian's Pidgin version 2.1.1-2 splits off libpurple and finch into seperate packages, this should be done in Ubuntu too.
Telepathy-haze should depend on libpurple instead of Pidgin, this would make removing Pidgin in favour of a Telepathy-based IM client possible.
