Cannot install other soft and my DVD burner does not reconize.

I have K3B installed but it is not Reconnizing my DVD burner I am running PLasma5 version of the distro any Ideas all I wanan do is burn somtihng to a disk? Furthermore, the distro wont install any software form the software menu this new distros with plasma 5 or test version is very bad the plasma 5 works great but nothing else is working properly at all as I am testing this out please note these bugs and please fix them i love plasma 5 but if I cant install apps and burn dvd its useless.

 Plasma5 is in a constant state of development right now so there will be issues that arise. Which distro is this?

For the file conflicts you can use:

sudo dpkg -i --force-overwrite /var/cache/apt/archives/qml-module-org-kde-runnermodel_5.1.0-0ubuntu1_amd64.deb

As far as k3b goes more information is needed to possibly be able to help you. This may be a kde bug and not (x)ubuntu issue.

Please copy and paste device > media-info from within k3b.

Also the output of dmesg | egrep -i --color 'cdrom|dvd|cd/rw|writer' in a terminal window.
