Bug Description

Binary package hint: vegastrike

Hi,

I am using nvidia driver with nvidia 7950GT graphics card. each time i trie to start the game vegastrike (universe) the xserver crashs.

problem must be related to compiz. if i turn compiz off the games works fine.

I can reproduce this issue with glxgears too on a 6600gt with 1.0.9639.

Anyone going to take this up? Much more information in the previously linked Bugs which this is a duplicate of. I'd say X restarting silently for anyone using nVidia and even the lightest default compositing would be a big issue.
