Bug Description

Binary package hint: nautilus

i'm just testing ubuntu gutsy tribe 5 with todays updates.

i encountered the following bugs in Nautilus 2.19.90:

1. bug:

after opening the file browser and changing to a directory that contains files or subdirectories, there is no way i can change the way the items (in icon mode) are arranged, by using the menu i get with the right mouse button. by default the items are arranged "by name". one time (not reproducible) i was able to change it to "by modification date" and then back to only "by name".
all other attempts to change from "by name" to any other type of arrangement are simply ignored and the checkmark stays on "by name".

in general the bug is reproducible at any time i open the file browser and change to a directory containing files or subdirectories.

the bug does NOT occur when using "arrange items" under the browser windows' menu bar --> "view". all different arrangements can be chosen and the items are properly re-arranged.

2. bug:

when using the filebrowser, i cannot create an empty file by using the right-mouseclick menu. trying to do so has no effect whatsoever.

the bug is reproducible at any time i open the file browser.

again, this bug does NOT occur when using "file"-->"create document" in the browser windows' menu bar.

cheers,
roots.
