Bug Description

Binary package hint: konqueror (Kubuntu 7.04 - 7.10)

When i close konqueror with the menubar hidden and i open again konqueror, the menubar is visible.

In ~/.kde/share/config/konquerorrc next code automatically disappears when i open again konqueror:
[KonqMainWindow]
MenuBar=Disabled

This is the procedure to save this setting:
start konqueror > configuration menu > configure shortcuts > double-click on the line 'save the profile' > do shortcut Alt+Ctrl+Maj+E > button OK > do shortcut Ctrl+M in konqueror window in order to hide menubar > do shortcut Alt+Ctrl+Maj+E in order to save the profile with menubar hidden > button Save

I think that this method is very complicated.

Thanks for your report. I suppose that textbar means menubar in Konqueror. Gutsy hasn't this problem. Do you still have this issue?

Indeed, it's a menubar issue.

More informations:

The lines '[KonqMainWindow]' and 'MenuBar=Disabled' doesn't automatically disappear in ~/.kde/share/config/konquerorrc when i do the next procedure:

start konqueror > configuration menu > configure shortcuts > double-click on the line 'save the profile' > do shortcut Alt+Ctrl+Maj+E > button OK > do shortcut Ctrl+M in konqueror window in order to hide menubar > do shortcut Alt+Ctrl+Maj+E in order to save the profile with menubar hidden > button Save

-> menubar will be hidden when konqueror will restart

I think that this method is very complicated.

With 'konsole' the procedure to hide menubar is similar...

Now, I have reproduced this also in Gutsy. However, I agree with you that procedure is too complicated. This is not a "bug" but a normal behaviour of this application. I think that your suggestions may be took into consideration as wishlist.
Thanks for your help.
