jedit menu wrong reacts on mouse clicks

Bug Description
LMDE 201403 MATE 32-bit
java version "1.7.0_21"
OpenJDK Runtime Environment (IcedTea 2.3.9) (7u21-2.3.9-5)
OpenJDK Client VM (build 23.7-b01, mixed mode)
Reproduce:
1. Install jedit (5.1)
2. run it
3. expand window
4. click on File item (for example) of top menu
Appropriate drop-down menu open and close immediately (on mouse button up)
So, I can't get drop-down menu items by mouse...
Note: menu works normal if window not expanded (less than the workspace)
