[gnome-schedule] Wrong tooltip

Bug Description

Binary package hint: gnome-schedule

The tooltips are wrong when hovering over OK and Cancel button in "Add a Scheduled Task" dialog. Here's how to reproduce the bug:

1. Click on "New". The default is a recurrent task.
2. Hover over OK or Cancel. The tooltip is "For example every first hour of the day", which may be OK.
3. Select the other task that will launch only once. It's tooltip is "For example at 04:10 tomorrow..."
4. Hover again over OK or Cancel. Their tooltips didn't change.

Also, it doesn't seem logical to have the same tooltips for both OK and Cancel button.

Hello,

This patch should fix the bug. Also, it should fix bug #136537 [1].

Thanks for your work Saša.

1) Instead of doing an inline patch, it would be preferrable to use a patch system (in this case dpatch or quilt would be advisable). See:

https://wiki.ubuntu.com/MOTU/School/PatchingSources

2) We have now released gutsy. We can still patch packages for it, but since 1.1.0-2 is already available from Debian, we will sync/merge it for hardy and most probably its better to just backport it more than patch the old version.
If 1.1.0-2 do not fix these issues, you can prepare a patch for gutsy-proposed:

https://wiki.ubuntu.com/MOTU/SRU

Note that for this you need an ack from motu-uvf before it can be sponsored.

Hello,

The new version is intended to support earlier created crontab/at
entries, both hand-made and from earlier versions of gnome-schedule.

As far as I can remember the tooltip bug has not been fixed in the
source, I will apply the patch when I find time.

Hello,

What should we do with this bug? Can that bug be fixed in Debian before backporting to Hardy (if it gets backported)?

We should have patched this before gutsy was released/frozen. Now its too late and, personally, I don't think that this justifies an sru.
My suggestion is that, once the repo for hardy will open (which is a matter of few days), we will take the 1.1.0-2 from Debian and patch it with this fix, after which we can backport it to gutsy (if necessary).

Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. However, I am closing it because the bug has been fixed in the package gnome-schedule 2.0.2-0ubuntu1 on Ubuntu Hardy Heron.
