Keep recieving touch events while locked when audio device plugged in

Bug Description
If I lock my device while an audio device is plugged in to the audio port and music is playing, touch events keep getting recieved even though the device looks non-responsive.
Tried to replicate in various other applications (browser with youtube, media player with music video) but they dont seem to be affected, so this seems to be specific to the core music app.
Easily replicateable on my Nexus 4:
open music app
play any song
lock phone
touch screen
unlock
wah lah.
