Can't delete playlist items; always resumes at first item, even if I double-click another video in Files

Playlist behavior is weird. Do this:

1. Open a video by double-clicking in Files (say Movie 1)
    - Audience opens, plays video
2. Close Audience
3. Open another video (Movie 2) by double-clicking in Files
    - Audience opens, Movie 2 is added to playlist but Movie 1 starts playing
4. Also, I can't delete playlist items. So now whenever I want to play a video by double-clicking, Audience starts with Movie 1

My playlist is growing quite a lot now. Another thing to try after those steps above:

Rename the folder that contains Movie 1. Now double-click another video (Movie 3) - Audience opens and returns an error:

Oops! Audience can't play this file! No URI set. Of course this happens because it still wants to play Movie 1 but doesn't find the path.

Oh, and I'm using a self-compiled version of Freya. Don't know if that matters.

Edit: Now Audience doesn't open anything. After the "Oops! ..." I tried to open a file from within Audience but nothing starts to play. This is the terminal output:
