Bug Description
Open the edit node page, make some changes, then add a mac address. This will clear any changes you made to the form. Some simple protection of this would be nice.
Ideally, making this a JS/Ajax operation would be better so it just gets added or cleared without reloading the page. For bonus points, then submitting all changes in bulk at the end of the edit (even mac address changes).
How it works now leads to a bit of confusion since you have to re-look up the changes you made and reapply. Then even when you figure out the pattern, edits require multiple page loads if mac addresses are involved.
