Bug Description

Binary package hint: beryl-kubuntu

That is. When I have beryl+emerald on KDE, if I start a command with "Alt+F2", the Desktop is gone. Instead of the wallpaper and my icons, I get a blue screen (kicker still there, only disappear the wallpaper and the icons).
I don't know what information you need, but you can request to me anything what you need.
I am on Kubuntu Feisty Fawn amd64, with a nVidia GeForce FX 5500 and the privative drivers 1.0.9639 on an AMD64 machine

Ok, the problem is that kdesktop dies. I have to relaunch it from a console and then kill superkaramba and relaunch it too, because when I relaunch kdesktop, superkaramba is not showing.
I don't know if the problem is kdesktop or beryl.

I tried this without beryl and I have the same error.
This is what I get when try to exec a command from "alt+f2" dialog:

kdesktop: symbol lookup error: /usr/lib/libkdeinit_kdesktop.so: undefined symbol: _ZN4KRun3runERK8KServiceRKN4KURL4ListEP7QWidgetRK8QCStringb

And then, kdesktop dies.

I'm on amd64 kubuntu feisty.

After I changed to Compiz-Fusion (Treviño repo), I don't have the problem any more. So, I think that I should close this report (I put "Fix Committed" because Gusty uses Compiz-Fusion, not Beryl), If it's incorrect, please, somebody to correct me.

Changed in kdebase:
status: New → Fix Committed
