Bug Description
Binary package hint: openoffice.org
Created a WebDAV account on ewedrive.com and made the Linux configuration as said in the instructions ('Places', 'Connect to server...', 'New connection', 'Secure WebDAV (HTTPS)' etc. As a result I got an icon of the WebDAV-server on the desktop.
Then I opened the connection (click on the icon) to the WebDAV-server and made some tests. I opened gedit and saved a text document directly on the WebDAV-server (under 'Save in folder' I had to choose the appropriate server connection). After that I tried the same using Open Office. At the beginning everything looked okay until the error message appears: 'Error saving the document xy: Non existent file.' Then, a second error message appears: 'Error saving the document xy: General error. General input/output error.'
My configuration:
- Ubuntu 7.04
- Open Office 2.2.0 1ubuntu-4
It seems that Open Office does not crash every time. (I just did a SW update without a restart. Before restart Oo crashed, afterwards it seemed not to crash again. Nevertheless Oo was not able to save the document on the WebDAV-server.)
I believe that this bug has been corrected in Ubuntu hardy openoffice.org 1:2.4.0~ rc2-1ubuntu3 so I am marking it as Fix Released. If after upgrading you continue to have problems with this issue then feel free to reopen this bug.
Thanks,
Chris Cheney
