Bug Description

In the latest linux-image for powerpc (2.6.10-25) the option Blink laptop LED on
drive activity is set in the kernel config. This is extremely annoying to say
the least and I suspect that it is a bug and not intentional.

I've noticed this as well. The LED is meant to be a heartbeat when in suspend
and is extremely bright and very annoying to have blinking during normal
operation. There has been patches posted to the debian-powerpc list to make this
behavior a runtime option (with /sys/something) and a boot option. The Ubuntu
kernel could integrate that patch perhaps, and please consider disabling the
blinking by default.

Should have been fixed in recent kernel images (as of -26)
