Searching the library is extremely slow

Searching within the library from the text search box takes tens of seconds, where with previous versions (in 12.04) it was almost instant.

Seems to be a change in sqlite has brought this about. The workaround in message https://groups.google.com/d/msg/clementine-bugs/_GSs5XMbI-k/P8NJw2J_AUIJ does fix it.

This looks like a nice cherry pick for Trusty, but for anyone that wants this fix immediately, the Clementine PPA is probably the fastest option: https://launchpad.net/~me-davidsansome/+archive/ubuntu/clementine

the following low-tech solution worked in my case:
in tools - preferences - search uncheck jamendo.
what a relief and joy after months of suffering!
