Bug Description

When attempting to format a usb flash stick and choosing the MBR partition table, gnome-disk-utility reports "Error sycnchrnonizing after initial wipe: timed out waiting for object (udisks-error-quark,0). Further, it seems to have corrupted the existing partition table, causing parted to complain "Error: Invalid Partition table - recursive partition on /dev/sde".

Furthermore, the format dialog is misleading as it gives the option to perform a quick format that is non destructive and preserves existing data, which is not what happens when you repartition a disk.
