Bug Description
Binary package hint: linux-ubuntu-
I need to load my sound card (AD1988B, module snd-hda-intel, on an asus MB) with the option model=6stack-dig in order for alsa to access all the mixer settings. By default I only get a volume and pcm settings, no microphone, CD...
The module used to be included in linux-image-
From kernel 2.6.22-10 on, the module has been separated in linux-ubuntu-
Btw, the 2.6.22-9 module loads fine manually (with insmod) in a 2.6.22-10 kernel.
I'd be happy to provide any lspci, whatever debug log needed.

I've experienced the exact same issue, but on my Dell XPS M1210 laptop with a Sigmatel chip instead of AD.
I only see two volume controls, and the speakers do not work. The laptop also has two headphone jacks, only one of them worked before this update, and now i can only get sound out of the other one.
If you need any info from commands please see bug #129722 (note that these are from a previous version of snd-hda-intel).
