I have a problem described in bug 1434396 that is: Xserver does not start on boot, and the low graphics mode dialog is presented instead, though if I exit to console and start lightdm service "by hand" it works. After logging in, bug report dialog on X crash appears and that brings me to this report.

I have this bug only with systemd, choosing upstart everything is OK, again please read my comment at bug 1434396

Ubuntu 14.10 (utopic) reached end-of-life on July 23, 2015.

I'm setting the status of this bug to 'Incomplete' as it's not seen any activity for some time. If this is still an issue when using a currently maintained release of Ubuntu then please let us know which one(s) otherwise this bug report can be left to expire in approximately 60 days time.
