Tangerine inherits "gnome"; should inherit "Tango" first

The fix is to just change "Inherits=gnome" to "Inherits=Tango" in index.theme.in

So apparently this was intentional. I have to say I disagree with the way we've gone about this. Tangerine is supposed to be an orange-ified version of Tango. If we want an orange-ified version of GNOME, we should make another icon theme.

Hi,

I do fully agree with you. Tangerine is meant to blend well with Tango,
not with Gnome icon (even if Gnome icons is supposed to follow Tango
specs).

Would be nice to revert the change.

First of all gnome icon theme *follows" tango guidelines, it is not supposed to! :-)

I have long since stopped caring about this as I use "GNOME" myself now.

Lapo, you told me a while back that you preferred to inherit GNOME as the metaphors are better and stuff, yet the folder icon design is clearly straight out of Tango, not GNOME.

Resolution: pick one and be consistent! :)

Everything is tango style, so it is consistent, it you find it's not consistent it's a matter of personal taste, so not a bug for me.
