Binary package hint: qt4-dev-tools

When installing qt4-dev-tools, qt4-assistant is installed, but without qt4-doc, it brings a lot of errors, and can not work...
The dependency should be added

I also have this problem - after updating to Gutsy I found that I have no assistant and linguist anymore... And this is what apt-get says:

$ sudo apt-get install qt4-dev-tools
Reading package lists... Done
Building dependency tree
Reading state information... Done
Some packages could not be installed. This may mean that you have
requested an impossible situation or if you are using the unstable
distribution that some required packages have not yet been created
or been moved out of Incoming.

Since you only requested a single operation it is extremely likely that
the package is simply not installable and a bug report against
that package should be filed.
The following information may help to resolve the situation:

The following packages have unmet dependencies.
  qt4-dev-tools: Depends: libqt4-core (= 4.3.2-0ubuntu3) but 4.3.2-0ubuntu3.1 is to be installed
E: Broken packages

Whoops, please ignore my ignorant whining.

https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/qt4-x11/+bug/162836 describes how to fix this (the problem, not my ignorant whining, that's not fixable!)

Changed in qt4-x11:
importance: Undecided → High
status: New → Confirmed
