Bug Description
This has been the case in the last few versions of Ubuntu but I had hoped that it would be fixed in 14.04 LTS.
I have a XPS 15 L521x which has a synaptics touchpad. The touchpad control is overly sensitive and feels jittery especially when trying to select text and click on links.
It is very fustrating and makes the operating system unusable at times.
dmesg output for touchpad
[ 2.898477] psmouse serio1: synaptics: Touchpad model: 1, fw: 8.1, id: 0x1e2b1, caps: 0xd00123/
[ 2.974217] input: SynPS/2 Synaptics TouchPad as /devices/
I've also attached the synclient -l output
