text layout changed from vertical to horizontal when using "Polish Books" feature

I bought some Japanese books from Amazon but I don't like the original metadata, so I De-DRMed my books and used Calibre to edit them. It's great to see my books' titles and authors shown exactly the way I wanted yet when I choose sort by title I found that the books are still sorted by the original titles, which make it a mess (especially for series books).
In order to solve the sorting problem I used the polish books feature and it actually worked, however the layout was then changed from vertical to horizontal (sample book attached). Would you please take this problem into consideration in your future updates?

Fixed in branch master. The fix will be in the next release. calibre is usually released every Friday.
