Bug Description

Soft lockup happened resulting in a need to reboot. Debug information was collect after reboot. syslog contains the backtrace information.

Same issue here. Kaveri A10 7850K and Radeon R240. I get the soft lockup message with "stuck for" 22-23 seconds, with kernel timestamps about 27.95 apart. CPU# and PID always the same, at least until reboot.

USB devices seem to be a factor in triggering this bug, because while I was installing Mint, lockups happened mid-install as long as I had my mouse or modem (both USB) plugged in, but not without them. (I have a PS/2 keyboard, so the only USB device plugged in during the successful install was the flash drive I was installing from.)

Also, I've only been able to produce the error message once, because the system usually hangs before I can open, or switch via Ctrl-Alt-F1 into, a terminal that can display it.

I boot my linux on dell 2648b, when the service intel_backlight.service starting, I see consle: NMI watchdog: BUG: soft lockup -CPU#3 stuck for 22s! [plymouthd:228]
