Horizontal tearing when using vaapi & fullscreen

Package: mpv (0.3.11-1ubuntu1
Hardware: seen on both Intel 4200 & my current 4600 (Haswell Mobile
Using ubuntu session, default settings for compiz

Test Case 1:
intel hardware
install i965-va-driver if not already
download attached teartest video, play with mpv 0.3.11 using command of -

mpv --fs --hwdec=vaapi --vo=vaapi /path/to/teartest.mp4

let it run a while, the column will break on no vsync

Test Case 2:
use a 'real' vid instead, have a 1 min ex. here

play with command of
mpv --fs --hwdec=vaapi --vo=vaapi /path/to/test1.mp4
If tearing occurs will be quite evident during fight scene starting around 30 sec. in

Both vids will be fine if viewed in a window (- not in fullscreen

For any affected users this would be better -
--hwdec=vaapi --vo=opengl-hq

Doug, are you saying that the bug is fixed in a new version of mpv? If so, which version works? If you can, try using zesty (17.04) which has mpv 0.24.

Yes, it's been fixed for quite some time. I'd forgotten about this bug,
just happened across looking for something else & thought i'd close it out.
Most 14.04 users of mpv would either be building themselves or getting
from my ppa so the use case of the repo version should be quite small.
