Bug Description
virtual box 4.3.12, host machine=Mac OSX 10.9.3, core i7, 8G
just a plain virgin install on empty disk, LVM enabled, download from net=yes, 20G disk (backed by *.hdd file: parallels disk file), TZ=Amsterdam, keyboard=ENG.
installer runs a while then a dialog tells me the installer crashed.

tested several different setups... eventually got it to work with *.vdi backed disk i.s.o. *.hdd backed disk.
I am concluding that the *.hdd integration of Virtual Box is bogus. (I also got some messages on other install trials that the disk had errors and that it was probably old or should be moved to a cooler environment, lol).
So this is NOT an ubuntu bug, will mark it as such.
Will leave this bug here for other users experiencing the same.
