Bug Description

Binary package hint: kompile

On launching kompile through Konqueror, kompile asks whether I want to be requested root password, which I do, but then it does not request it and appears to execute normally. Then, it reports that it cannot decompress. The message is:
/bin/tar:
(name of program to be compiled): Cannot utime
: Operation not permitted
/bin/tar:
Error exit delayed from previous errors
Error during archive decompression. Installation aborted!

But if I call kompile through a sudo command, then the result is that it cannot configure. The message is:
Configuring sources...
/bin/sh configure --enable-shared --enable-fast-install --without-arts
/bin/sh: Can't open configure
Error during sources configuration. Installation aborted!

This software was removed in Kubuntu 9.04, so it won't be fixed.
