Bug Description

When I plugged my camera - Canon A1400 - to Linux Mint 16, it was listed as any other removable device. In Linux Mint 17 - it's not recognized at all. I was able only to get photos using with gphoto2 in terminal - which is far far away from easy and comfortable :)

I have exactly the same problem with a Sony DSC-H2 camera.
There is a workaround : starting the computer with the camera connected. In this case Mint starts extremely slowly, but at the end, the camera is visible.
I have another camera (a sony as well). It is recognized without any problem. It might depend on the camera model.
In my case as well, the camera is perfectly recognized by Mint 16.
