I am using XFCE on a normal Ubuntu distribution (not Xubuntu). That is - as far as I know - all that is strange about my setting.

From Mainlog.txt I saw that there was an error saying there are two packages kept back. I removed them using 'apt-get remove ...', but the problem persists.
