No way to save and use-later advanced searches other than browser bookmarks

Other bugtrackers allow users to create custom searches matching things interesting to them and present those searches as simple links in their UI (rather than having browser bookmarks). This can be nicer than browser bookmarks if integrated well.

Can we have some rationale recorded of why we should do this instead of users having bookmarks, or projects having collections of query links in webpages?

The redfish team has asked for this feature. Users coming from environments such as Bugzilla are accustomed to be able to create their own canned queries. It is a very popular feature of other bug trackers and one that users expect in Launchpad.

Kiko's work-around of saving an URL to an external site does work but is not as convenient as having the customized search in Launchpad. A bookmark works for an individual but cannot be easily shared.
