Bug Description
I have been using Aptana Studio 3 3.4.1 today and it has caused my xsession to crash several times. I find myself looking at an ASCII console. This only happens when I am actively working with Aptana Studio 3. It happens while doing various actions in Aptana such as browsing directories or editing html files. it didn't happen the last time I used Aptana, which was well over a year ago. There have been reports on the web of Aptana crashing after upgrading to 14.04, but none I can find mention the xserver dying.
What should happen: If Aptana has to crash the xserver should not come down with it.

I now suspect that the issue may be something to do with Open Java. I switched to Oracle Java this morning and so far I have not had a crash, although it is still early days. I will let you know if I do get another xserver crash.
However I am leaving this as an xorg bug because a misbehaving Java environment should not be able to bring the xserver down.
