I had several apps up in the background including the camera

This bug is missing log files that will aid in diagnosing the problem. From a terminal window please run:

apport-collect 1329532

and then change the status of the bug to 'Confirmed'.

Mind uploading your /var/log/syslog ? Hard to tell without more logs.

Wonder if this is related with the camera app/server.
