Bug Description
There are two ISV issues with the linux/netlink.h header file. First, this is
a user-space API but it is not currently in the LSB standard, so good behaving
ISV applications should not use it. Second, on some Linux distros the
/usr/include/
is GPLv2 instead of LGPL. Both Linus and RMS have said that programs using
header files are not derivative works; therefore, ISVs should be not impacted
by the GPLv2. It would be nice if linux/netlink.h were defined by the LSB to
make it a more mainstream acceptable API.
