FC20 latest version of HPLIP the "ready light" keeps flashing after print job is done

Bug Description

This morning I installed the most recent version of HPLIP (3.14.6) and while it prints fine, the "ready" light keeps flashing for a long time after the print job is finished. It goes off eventually, but the HP3050 indicates that it is "printing document" long after the job is done. At this point it is more of an annoyance than anything, but could be really frustrating with other jobs which require a long time to print, and in this form you can't know for sure if the print job is done or not.

Here is the output from hp-doctor and hp-check

This is better than the RH support I pay for;-)

Forgive my ignorance, but what does one do with hplip-reportlab.patch Tim?

I have error: 'python-reportlab' package is missing/incompatible in a new Fedora 21 Workstation installation. The printer worked fine before, works fine from other computers, but for me the print goes into the queue and never comes out.

Installing latest hplip doesn't solve the problem. Printing works, accessing the scanner produces a core dump.
The installer of hplip finishes with an error:
