Bug Description

I have installed stable-daily on MATE desktop 1.6 and can report this issue - System monitor does not open. MATE has mate-system-monitor package, which I have installed.

Hi Pavel,

this is implemented in the version at ppa:~indicator-multiload/daily and should be available in a few minutes. Could you check whether that works for you?

Cheers

Hi!!

I've installed stable-daily on Ubuntu Mate 16.04 & MATE desktop 1.12, and also have this bug. I know that version 0.5 fixes that. I wonder, if you can answer me, when the 0.5 version could be released as a stable version.

Thank you very much!! :D

Im using Ubuntu MATE desktop 1.12.1 on a chromebook pixel from 2013. I have the nightly installed which I believe has the fix which is committed for this. The panel does appear after starting the indicator however it flickers. Most of the time the panel is not visible.

It will try to launch gnome-system-monitor, so it needs to be installed.

Although it's fixed in upstream code (https://github.com/mh21/indicator-multiload ?), it still isn't fixed in Ubuntu MATE 19.10.

Workaround by configuring indicator-multiload in dconf:

dconf write /de/mh21/indicator-multiload/general/system-monitor "'mate-system-monitor.desktop'"
